Henry S. Miller Brokerage Announces the Opening of Northwest Houston Brokerage Division

DALLAS, TX - March 18, 2010 --  April 1st, Henry S. Miller Brokerage will open the doors to the Northwest Houston Brokerage Division, combining comprehensive commercial retail brokerage services with the existing property management operations. Sam Kartalis, President, Henry S. Miller Realty Services, LLC, recently announced the opening of an additional Houston brokerage office in Northwest Houston. The Northwest Houston Brokerage Division will join the Henry S. Miller Realty Management team to expand Henry S. Miller’s overall presence in the Greater Houston area. The property management division currently manages and leases approximately two million square feet of commercial and multi-family projects. “With the property management and commercial retail brokerage divisions under one roof, we will be able cover a larger area and provide our suburban market clients with seamless property management/brokerage services,” said Shawn Ackerman, Executive Vice President and acting Division Head over commercial retail leasing and sales at the new Northwest Brokerage Division.

Shawn Ackerman, Executive Vice President, Henry S. Miller Brokerage, will be relocating to this office with his group and will act as Division Head of the retail brokerage operations entity. “Mr. Ackerman’s business is such that he works very closely with the property managers to enhance his business relationship with his clients and better serve them. His proximity to the management group is vital to his operations,“ stated Sam Kartalis of the decision to open a Northwest Brokerage Division. Mr. Ackerman has been in real estate since 1989 and with Henry S. Miller Brokerage for more than eight (8) years; he has been instrumental in the Houston division’s retail growth. Shawn is highly involved in the retail community serving on both the ICSC Texas Sponsorship Committee as Chairman and on the ICSC Texas Convention Committee. 

Shawn will join forces with Henry S. Miller’s Houston property management team. “We look forward to the continual growth of our current portfolio with the addition of the commercial retail brokerage division to this area. Miller Realty Management’s Houston portfolio.

Henry S. Miller Brokerage’s existing Houston Division Office on West Loop South near the Galleria will not be affected by this move; normal full service commercial brokerage operations will continue.
