HOUSTON, TX - September 22, 2008 -- Henry S. Miller Commercial’s retail specialists, Shawn Ackerman and Jason Gaines recently negotiated the acquisition of a 212,000 square foot nine story building in downtown El Paso, Texas. This year Ackerman and Gaines have arranged multiple lease and sales transactions for National Stores, Inc. DBA Fallas Paredes throughout the state of Texas; this recent El Paso acquisition is one of the largest locations the pair has brokered for National Stores, Inc. The building is situated at One Union Fashion Center in downtown El Paso and offers retail on the first two floors and office/residential space on the remaining floors. Fallas Paredes, who currently leases a location across the street, plans to move into the retail portion of the building by the end of 2008. The building was purchased by a subsidiary of National Stores, Inc., J&M Sales of Texas, from El Paso based owner, VEK#2, LP. Henry S. Miller Commercial’s Shawn Ackerman, EVP and Jason Gaines, VP represented the buyer. Dan Foster of Grubb & Ellis Company represented the seller, VEK#2, LP.
