Henry S. Miller Project Management Forms Joint Venture

DALLAS, TX - May 4, 2005  -- Henry S. Miller Project Management, Inc. and Lone Star Hotel Services, LLC, have joint ventured to form the Henry S. Miller Hospitality Services Group.  Principals are Davis H. Glass, AIA, Executive Vice President; Rick Martin, Vice President; and Andy Ratchford, Vice President.  This joint venture developed a real estate acquisition program combining Henry S. Miller's renowned brokering with development management services, debt and equity financing, project management and property management.  This program is customized for hospitality projects initially in the Dallas Metroplex area and eventually nationwide.  It is designed not only for mid-range limited service hotel developers, but also full-service hospitality projects.

The Henry S. Miller Hospitality Services Group has signed an agreement with Quanah Properties to develop Value Place Hotels in seven Texas and California counties that will bring a new concept in an extended-stay product to residents and employers in those areas.  The Texas sites currently under development include locations in Fort Worth, Grand Prairie and Irving.  The California locations will be chosen soon.  

The Value Place concept was launched by lodging industry visionary Jack DeBoer, who also founded Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites and Candlewood Suites.  Value Place, which offers weekly rates starting at $149, plans to construct 22 properties in the Dallas/Fort Worth area over the next several years.  Value Place plans to be the national low-cost provider of safe, clean, economy extended-stay lodging.
